The Adelaide Showground hosts over 100 events each year including the South Australian Caravan and Camping Show, Adelaide Motor Show, Big Day Out, various home-style expos and the Royal Adelaide Wine Show. It is home to the Adelaide Showground Farmers Market every Sunday morning and will host the BMX World Championships in 2009. The Adelaide Showground is the venue for the Royal Adelaide Show, South Australia's largest community event held from the first Friday in September each year. As South Australia's most versatile venue, the Adelaide Showground offers a diverse range of indoor and outdoor venues ideal for conferences, banquets, public events, exhibitions and trade shows. With construction of a new 9000 square metre exhibition facility planned for completion in time for the 2008 Royal Adelaide Show, the upgrade will reinforce the Showground's prominent position amongst Australia's elite exhibition venues.
