The Mourambine Heritage Trail offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about pioneering life in the Wheatbelt. Pick up a heritage trail map from the Pingelly Craft Centre or Pingelly Shire Council and explore the history of Mourambine.
Mourambine. located ten kilometres east of Pingelly, was one of the first Europen towns settled in the district. Starting at St Patrick's Church, the Heritage Trail undertakes many sites of historical significance including early settler's cottages, Sandalwood Inne and pioneer's graveyards. St Patrick's cCurch, built in 1872, is still used for church services today. As well as the church, many of the old cottages have been restored and are home to some of the local residents.
