A visit to the scenic Blackwood Valley is incomplete without taking some time to relax and enjoy the unique delights of The Cidery at Bridgetown. Tranquil heritage gardens, warm winter fires and friendly staff ensure your experience at The Cidery will be a highlight of your country getaway to the south west.
The Cidery celebrates the rich history of the apple industry in the development of historic Bridgetown. Extensive photographic and historical displays, together with Cider and Juice production, bring this history to life. Once again local apples are traditionally crushed and pressed, to produce a range of unique ciders and juices from local apples, including the internationally acclaimed Pink Lady variety, developed locally. A philosophy of using only the freshest natural products, with no additives or preservatives, produces unique ciders and juices, ranging in style from classic farmhouse 'scrumpy' cider, to crisp refreshing dry ciders and sparkling sweeter ciders, offering once again the true tastes of nature. Beer lovers have not been forgotten, beers brewed in the traditional style, also with no preservatives or additives, are produced at The Cidery, to allow you to appreciate natural beers such as our early settlers enjoyed.
A visit to The Cidery is guaranteed to offer a unique range of memorable experiences for all the family. Whether strolling through the landscaped heritage gardens with its spectacular 'swagged' heritage rose walk and heritage apple trees, or relaxing with family and friends on the lawn under the towering river gums beside the dam. Step back in time to appreciate how early Bridgetown pioneers established the area as a world renowned orchard region, supplying a wide variety of apples worldwide. Complement these relaxing experiences with 100 per cent natural traditional ciders, juices and beers, to make your visit to The Cidery a memorable experience for all the family.
