Located on the south west corner of Western Australia, 60 kilometres from Busselton and 15 kilometres north east of Augusta the National Park covers and area of 3,273 hectares.
There is boat access via Blackwood river north from Molloy Island.
This park has attractive floral displays during the year for those prepared for rough walking. Vegetation includes jarrah/banksia woodlands along the Blackwood river. There are large swamps.
Fauna includes the western grey kangaroos, black swans, cormorants, massed geese, herons, emus and parrots. Ranger permission is required to camp within the park. No general camping or open fires permitted. Picnicking can be done with boat access to Twinhams Bend where there are barbecues, tables and toilet facilities.
It as advisable to contact the ranger before setting off on bushwalks as it can be very rough and wet through areas of the park. Swimming can be done in the river (inland). There is no rockclimbing and the best time to visit is in the spring. Due to foot or boat only means of access, all supplies must be taken as there is no fresh water available. Supplies can be obtained from Augusta.
