A MUST FOR THE KID IN ALL OF US!

Discover a unique collection of fabulous children's toys and trains that have captured the imagination of young and old for four generations. Explore a grand Mountains home and glorious gardens. Thousands of delighted families and collectors can't be wrong: it's a must for the kid in all of us.

Just an hour and a half from Sydney is one of the most exciting and important toy collections in the world. At the Leuralla NSW Toy and Railway Museum families and serious collectors alike can explore pre and post war toys including dolls, teddy bears, lead figures, comics and books, tinplate trains, aeroplanes, automobiles and working model-railway layouts. It features NSW Railway trackside and station memorabilia including lights, trolleys, seats, signals and signs.

The wonderful collection would not be complete without Barbie - the most successful toy of all times. The museum's Barbie collection from 1959 to the present is the biggest permanent display of original Barbies in Australia.

The all-weather Matterhorn garden railway adds an exciting dimension to the outdoor railway exhibits with a six-metre replica of the Swiss mountain. Three trains, viaducts, tunnels, gorges and a waterfall delight individuals and model railway enthusiasts alike.

The museum also pays tribute to one of the great Australians of the 20th century, Dr H V Evatt, judge, author, politician and the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1948-1949.

LEURALLA GARDENS AND AMPHITHEATRE

The property is set in five hectares of beautiful cool-climate gardens, laid out at the turn of the century. This includes the spectacular amphitheatre - a popular location for photo shoots and wedding ceremonies. Its
weathered sandstone and Bathurst slate mirror the changing character of the great sandstone cliffs and blue vistas of the Jamison Valley, over which it gives extensive views.

Wheelchair access through the garden but no access to the house.
