This attractive park is on North Stradbroke Island, the largest of Moreton Bay's islands and one of the world's most ecologically important wetlands. The park protects Blue Lake, an area of cultural significance to the Quandamooka people.
Walk the six kilometre (return) track to the lake through wallum woodlands, flowering heath and stunted eucalypts. Take your camera and binoculars to look for wildlife and enjoy the scenery. Walk to Neembeeba lookout for views over the southern part of the island, the Pacific Ocean and the Gold Coast. In spring enjoy wildflowers.
