The Kroombit tinkerfrog, a species vulnerable to extinction, lives here. Sandstone cliffs, waterfalls and a variety of plant communities also grace this park. The Kroombit Plateau's rugged terrain became the resting place of a World War II B24D Liberator bomber. It crashed on a rainy night in 1945, all on board losing their lives.
Enjoy the view from the eastern escarpment's lookout. Drive the four wheel drive scenic loop and walk 700 metres (return) to the plane's crash site. Obtain a permit to ride your horse along the Bicentennial National Trail. Go bush camping.
