The Deloraine Folk Museum dates from 1856 when the cottage was built for the Johnstone family. The Building was extended and opened as the “Family and Commercial Inn”, 1863—1894. During most of the twentieth century it was used for accommodation and offices. In 1972 Mrs Alma Bramich donated the building and land to the community to house the Deloraine Districts Folk Museum. The museum now reflects the life of a country publican and his family. The tour will take your through the cottage, pub, Jimmy Possum snug and exhibition gallery. Then out into the Alma Bramich garden, dairy, blacksmith’s shop and vehicles shed. The Museum is located at the Great Western Tiers Visitor Centre 98-100 Emu Bay Road Deloraine 7304 .
