Alexandrina Cheese received a Silver Medal in the 2007 South Australian Tourism Awards, under Category Eight - Specialised Tourism Services.
Alexandrina Cheese Company is situated amidst our working dairy farm located in Mount Jagged, near Mount Compass, in the heart of the Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia.
We make cheeses and other dairy produce using the highest quality milk produced by our Jersey cows. Jersey milk is renowned for its full flavour and rich creamy quality. Our handmade produce is made using traditional methods supported with the combined knowledge of four generations of farmers and cheese makers .
Visitors are welcome to visit The Cheesery on weekends and public holidays when we are open for tasting and sales. The cafe is a great stop for an Alexandrinashire Tea, espresso coffee, milkshakes and cheese platters, all made from the milk of our beautiful Jersey cows.
Visitors can see into the processing room through a window and they are free to sit and enjoy the sweeping rural views of the surrounding valley.
