Set on a ridge in the heart of McLaren Vale, this picturesque winery overlooks the vales and features pleasant picnic areas with stringy bark eucalypts.
Keen to preserve the natural charm of the winery, the new management is continuing to produce smooth opulent wines of which the winery has always been well renowned.
Flagship of Merrivale Wines are the Tapestry selection of premium wines. Tapestry's Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are sourced from the Bakers Gully Vineyard near Kangarilla. This particular vineyard is located on ironstone soil and has been a major contributor to the winery's impressive achievements including 14 trophies, 48 gold medals, 98 silver medals and 198 bronze medals since 1972.
