Emu Creek is one of the main tributaries of the Brisbane River. At the camping area, the creek widens and deepens to form an excellent waterhole for swimming and canoeing. Tall forested gums and ironbarks shade the camping area and are a haven for possums and an abundance of birds. Wallabies and the occasional koala may also be found in the area. No domestic animals are permitted in the camping area.
Campers are required to register before setting up their camp. Camper details and fees are to be lodged in the self re-registration facility located at each Camping Area.
