The Bulli Heritage Centre is a voluntary operated museum.
The society was formed 19 October, 1989, to establish guidelines for the use of the historic Bulli Railway Station building.
The museum features the restored signal box room, which houses local railway memorabilia and a local history display, including many old photographs, housed in the former waiting room. The society is always looking for additional significant material to display in the museum which will continually alter the display themes during the year.
The name was taken from the term used to describe coal in the early days of Bulli settlement. It was a rich asset, like a diamond, and brought wealth to the Illawarra.
