The Apartments of South Yarra are located in the heart of Melbournes trendy South Yarra, with the dining and boutique shopping of famous Chapel Street just 100 metres from your door!
Looking for a change of scenery’ Melbournes city centre is only 10 minutes by train, or why not take a ride on a tram and stop along the way at the Royal Botanic Gardens or the Victorian Arts Centre’

Reception is open 24 hours a day, located just three minutes walk away at the Claremont Guest House (189 Toorak Road, South Yarra). Our friendly Reception team can assist you with Day Tour bookings, information about local attractions and dining options. There is an extended hours Pharmacy on site at the Claremont, and a Business Centre and Foreign Exchange located just across the road.
How to get to Apartments of South Yarra
Getting to us from Tullamarine Airport:Door to door transfer services available from $25 per person through Star Bus. This service operates 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week. Please contact hotel directly at least 24 hours before your required travel to make a reservation.
Alternatively, take a Sky Bus shuttle to Southern Cross station in Melbournes CBD. From Southern Cross, board a Pakenham, Cranbourne, Frankston or Sandringham line train and alight at South Yarra station. Reception is located just 100 metres to the left as you exit the station.
A taxi from Tullamarine will cost approx $60.00
From Avalon Airport:
Sunbus shuttles meet all incoming Jetstar flights and offer a transfer service to Southern Cross station. From the station, take one of the above mentioned train services to South Yarra.
Traveling by Car:
Reception is located on the corner of Toorak Road and Claremont Street, South Yarra at the Claremont Guest House. Short term on street parking is available in Claremont Street to complete your check-in. Our Reception team will then direct you to your Apartment, located in nearby Arthur Street.

Out and About
The Apartments of South Yarra are located just 100 metres from sizzling Chapel Street, home of cafes, restaurants and great boutique shopping.A short stroll down the road is the fresh food of the Prahran Market. The nearby Jam Factory complex is home to Cinemas, shopping and dining. In the warmer months, you may wish to take a dip in the local pool at the Prahran Aquatic Centre, located just 10 minutes walk from your Apartment.
Tram 78 or 79 running South along Chapel Street will take you to St Kilda Beach. Here you can while away the hours in a trendy caf along Acland or Fitzroy Streets, or wander along the St Kilda foreshore. St Kilda is also home to Luna Park great for the kids during the school holidays. The number 78 and 79 trams running in a Northerly direction along Chapel Street will take you to the Factory Outlet Shopping of Richmond. The best streets to visit are Bridge Road, Swan Street and Church Street. A short tram ride will also take you to Smith Street in Collingwood, home to many sporting brand outlets.
Another great Melbourne icon, the MCG is just one train stop (Richmond) away from South Yarra. Across the road from the MCG is Melbourne Park, home of Rod Laver and Hisense Arenas. These iconic venues are host to many sporting and entertainment events throughout the year, and staying at the Apartments of South Yarra will keep you close to the action!
If you are feeling energetic, why not take a stroll through the Royal Botanic Gardens or Fawkner Park? Both are within easy walking distance of your Apartment, and offer numerous jogging and walking paths. Also just a short walk away is Como House and Gardens. This historical venue is open to the public daily. Take a guided tour of the homestead or just relax in the caf and enjoy your surroundings.
For guests looking to visit some of Victorias greatest attractions, perhaps joining a guided coach tour is an ideal option for you. Coaches depart Melbourne daily for the Great Ocean Road, Phillip Island Penguin Parade and Blue Dandenongs, Yarra Valley Wineries & Puffing Billy steam train.
