The Little River Bed & Breakfast is located approximately 40 minutes drive from Melbourne and 30 minutes drive to Geelong, just off the Princes Freeway. Surrounded by fields, rivers and the picturesque You Yangs mountain range, the Little River Bed & Breakfast provides quick and easy access to Avalon airport, Geelong and Melbourne and surrounding suburbs.
Travellers who stay at the Little River Bed & Breakfast enjoy luxury heritage accommodation with open wood fire heating, colour television and breakfast included. Property facilities include a car park and kitchen, and the local hotel is also situated next door for meals.
The Little River Bed & Breakfast has been extensively renovated and restored. There is a large entertainment / guest lounge for visitors to relax in. Dining is in a communal atmosphere and when the weather is warm meals can be enjoyed under the front verandah. There is an open fireplace for those winter nights where cosiness and warmth is desired.
We offer three rooms for accommodation, each with television and an open fireplace.
The Bluestone Room has a king size four poster bed with canopy and ensuite including double shower and spa.
Our second room, the Flinders Room, offers a queen size bed with ensuite.
In more modern times, the township of Little River was the inspiration for the name of a popular band in the early seventies – “The Little River Band”. The Little River Bed & Breakfast itself was also used as a set in the film "Mad Max", as the Toecutters pub.
