Originally a 1960s motel attached to a wonderful South Yarra mansion, the Albany has been dragged into the 21st century and is fast becoming a hub for the fashion industry, music and corporate industry travellers both internationally and domestically.
Having recently undergone this remarkable transformation, the Hotel has emerged with a Fashion meets Music theme which can be seen throughout the property. From the black and white striped walls in the new bar, to the floor to ceiling photographs, murals and artwork, funky bed heads and red hallways, its become an interesting and chilled place to stay.
there are many different room types which are designed to cater the needs and budgets of all out guests, The ’hotel’ section of the Albany houses our newly renovated rooms, Studio, Deluxe, Mansion, Mansion suites. In the rear ’motel’ section of the hotel are located the Superior Rooms with original bathrooms and the un-renovated Standard rooms. There is something to suit everyone!!
The hotel prides itself on its individuality and cheeky style which is designed to both welcome and entertain you in the most comfortable of ways. More importantly the staff are warm and welcoming and are there to attend to even your smallest needs; we even offer a Rolls Royce chauffeur service (limited availability) on Friday and Saturday nights within the CBD.
Breakfast is served 7 Days a week in our sun filled restaurant. We are very excited to now be offering bar food 7 days and dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. We have an extensive Function Menu all prepared by our new resident chef - Anthony Siketa. Anthony is formerly from award winning restaurant Sel de la Terre in Toorak Road and Chateau Yering. We are positively bursting with excitement to announce our brand spanking new rooftop pool and garden (opening soon) which has the most amazing view of Melbourne!! Take a dip, indulge in a spot of synchronized swimming, relax on a sun bed or whatever takes your fancy! This will be ’the’ place to hang out...
We also offer limited on-site parking and our rooms are non smoking but feel free to smoke your heart out in the areas provided!!
