Located 33 kilometres east of Pithara, just off the Pithara-Kalannie Road, Petrudor Rocks is a popular picnic spot in the spring.
A large expanse of rock in an unspoilt tract of bush, it gives, on a clear day, a view to the McLevie Bin to the north of Dalwallinu.
The area provides pleasant walks for adults, and children love the large shallow pools where tadpoles abound. A profusion of wildflowers are to be found including orchids, everlastings and in the late spring the Kunzea Pulchella brightens the rocks with its red blooms.
Kangaroos, emus, echidna, little rock lizards and many different birds inhabit the bushland making it an ornithologist's paradise. Quandong trees are plentiful with their bright red fruit during September to October.
At the base of the rocks the Shire has provided barbecue and toilet facilities.
