Walk around the scenic spots from beach to river or enjoy a delicious meal in the seaside cafe across the road. Newcastle’s restaurant strip and harbour are a ten minutes walk down the road for a two minute ride across on the Stockton ferry.

    How to get to Breakwater Bed and Breakfast
    From Sydney follow the signs off the freeway to Wallsend then signs to Stockton and Nelson Bay. From Brisbane through Fern Bay then turn left into Stockton. Breakwater is on the sea side of the suburb.

    Stockton is Newcastle's oldest suburb. It has retained much of the charm of a laid back country town but is just 2 minutes across the harbour to Newcastle CBD with shopping, train to Sydney, restaurants and theatres.
    Stockton beach is world famous - long spectacular coastal dunes all the way to Anna Bay. Ideal for four wheel drives.
