The drive is also very scenic passing through snowgums, temperate rainforest and thick eucalyptus forest.
An alternate route is via the Princes Highway (coastal route), which takes approximately six hours and is approximately 450 kilometres. This drive is better if you intend on taking many stops and exploring all the coastal towns and villages between Sydney and Merimbula.
