Hermitage Lodge is nestled amongst 25 acres in the heart of Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley, with popular wineries and tourist attractions within easy walking distance, a leisurely bike ride or short drive.

Hermitage Lodge has twenty studios and suites offering the discerning guest four and a half star boutique accommodation and personal, attentive service rarely found today. The rooms are large, comfortable and tastefully decorated with a great deal of attention to detail. Eleven of these rooms, a mix of studios and suites, were built in the first half of 2006. All twenty rooms offer guests beautiful decks or verandahs overlooking our own Shiraz vineyard. The salt water swimming pool is welcome relief on a hot day.

Hermitage Lodge?s award-winning restaurant Il Cacciatore, which in Italian means The Hunter, specialises in Northern Italian inspired cuisine.

Il Cacciatore has long been a favourite with visitors and locals alike. The ambience is relaxed and casual and the service is professional and friendly.

Il Cacciatore also has a separate dining area with a spacious adjoining deck, which overlooks the landscaped reed-lined dam. Perfect for al fresco dining, it is also available for private dinners or cocktail parties.

Adjacent to the restaurant is the cosy guest lounge featuring plush sofas and an open fire during winter, where diners can enjoy a pre-dinner drink or after dinner coffee and port.

Hermitage Lodge was a winner in the 2009 2008, 2007, 2006 and 2004 HMAA (Hotel, Motel & Accommodation Association) Industry Awards for Excellence, and a finalist in 2003. Hermitage Lodge has 20 suites and studios all with decks over looking the vineyard. Hermitage Lodge is the home to Italian restaurant, Il Cacciatore open 7 nights a week.
