    How to get to Newcastle Heights Motel
    Get off the train at Broadmeadow and grab a cab for the 5 minute ride to reception.
    Coming from Sydney? Turn off the F3 at the Swansea/Charlestown exit (Pacific Hwy) just north of the twin Caltex service stations. Carry on through Swansea and Belmont, up through Charlestown and you'll find us about 300m past the Charlestown Rd. turnoff on your left, right next door to Thrifty Car Rental.
    Coming from North or the New England? Stick to the Pacific Hwy heading into Newcastle and follow the signs to Charlestown. Look for us on your right about 300m past the water tower. Or turn right at Sandgate Cemetery and head past the Uni, left onto Newcastle road at the big roundabout, right onto Croudace St, carry on past John Hunter hospital, a small left dogleg off the bypass and onto Charlestown Road, left when you get to the tee intersection with the Pacific Hwy and about 300m on your left, right next door to Thrifties.

    Newcastle's largest shopping centre, Charlestown Square is 10 min walk or Kotara shopping centre is just 2kms drive. Merewether beach(and ocean baths) and a host of Australias best beaches start just 5.5kms away. A short 10min drive lands you in beautiful Warners Bay to enjoy the lakeside cafe's and eateries, go fishing, swimming, skiing, sailing or whatever watersport takes your fancy.
    Newcastle's beautiful harbour forshore including Queens wharf and hours of relaxing time are 10mins drive into town.
