How to get to Universal Peace Retreat & Spa

From Brisbane / Gold CoastTravel South on the Pacific Highway. At Oak Avenue interchange follow the signs for the "Tweed Valley Way" (this is the old Pacific Highway) to Murwillumbah.At the roundabout turn into Murwillumbah (you will cross over the Tweed River) and approach a second roundabout - go straight ahead. You then approach a third roundabout (’Sunnyside Mall’- Coles and Liqourland located within). Continue straight through this roundabout, then take the second road on the left ’Riverview Street’. The road will be signposted for Nimbin, Kyogle and Mt. Warning National Park.Travel aprox 10 mins to Braeside Drive, just before the town of Uki. Turn left into Breaside Drive then the second right is Bonny Doon Road, we are number 128.Directions from Byron Bay / Ballina NSW Travel North on the Pacific Highway. Look out for the signs for Ocean Shores / Murwillumbah and take this exit, follow signs towards Murwillumbah. This road will take you through the villages of Mooball Burringbar.After crossing over the Burringbar Range take a left turn towards ’Stokers Siding’. Once in Stokers Siding, take a left turn over the railway line towards ’Uki’.At the end of the road turn right towards Murwillumbah. Take the second road to the right - Breaside Drive. Then take the second road on the right, Bonny Doon Road. We are number 128.

We are 45mins drive from Byron Bay and only 30mins drive from Gold Coast airport.Further Information:Mt Warning also known as Wollumbin by the local indigenous people, is World Heritage Listed National Park. The very popular walk from the base of the mountain to the summit is 8.8 km, and on average takes approximately 4-5 hours, through sub’tropical rainforest. For those more adventurous, climb Mt Warning for a Dawn Sunrise experience. For those less inclined to attempt the climb, the Lyre Bird Walk is a 500 metre stroll from the parking area.Or Bushwalk through the Border Ranges and discover day use picnic areas, with spectacular views available at Bar Mountain, Blackbutts Lookout. There are a variety of walks in the park, from 50 metre strolls to 10 kilometre hikes, most starting from day picnic or camping areas. Also spotting the koala bears high up in the trees is a fun experience for all.
