Borroloola
Fronting the Gulf of Carpentaria, located along the road between Roper Bar and Borroloola, Lorella Springs Station is a virtually untouched one million acre property. The campground at the homestead is situated on a hot spring bubbling 40,000 litres of water per hour, which is perfect for relaxing in. The Rosie Fishing Campground is also located on the property. This campground has limited facilities, including boat ramps, and access is by four wheel drive only.
This retreat, with a magical atmosphere of solitude and serenity, is the final frontier of an ever changing world. Lorella Springs offers over 100 kilometres of coastline and water ways, huge chasms and gorges, wetlands teeming with life, a tranquil hot spring and some of the best fishing in the Northern Territory. The fishing in the Rosie River is diverse, and pandanus lined freshwater billabongs and tropical reef outcrops also attract a range of fish. Hunting safaris, guided fishing and four wheel driving are other activities on offer.
