The Birdsville Race is a unique event that attracts people from all over Australia. Greyhound offers a six day package deal which includes: return coach travel, tent style accommodation, most meals and a Birdsville Races T-shirt.
The sleepy Outback Queensland town of Birdsville comes alive in the first weekend of September with the annual Birdsville Picnic Races. This event attracts people from all over Australia, from the city to the bush. Greyhound Australia construct their own Camp ‘Tent City’ is now almost as famous as the races themselves.
Greyhound has been a major part of the famous Birdsville Races for the last 28 years. On race day the Greyhound Coach shuttles people to and from the racetrack for a small fee which is donated to a worthy charity.
