A 40 acre (16 hectare) park situated 24 kilometres from Perth. High up on top of the Darling Range with Panoramic Views overlooking Perth City. Come and make friends with the Animal Kingdom where you will meet and see Koalas, Kangaroos, Black Swan, Ostrich, Alpacas, Lamas, Miniature Ponies, Dingos, Wallabies, Pelicans, Water Birds, Wedge Tail Eagles, Wombats etc. These are just some of the wildlife that can be seen in their natural habitat at Cohunu, you may walk through the giant Bird Aviary and feed fruits to some of our unique native Birdlife
The park has a revolving restaurant overlooking Perth city, a gift shop and a miniature railway (for adults as well as children), which is an ideal way to see the sights in comfort. Railway weekends,School and public holidays. The cost for the miniature railway ride is $2.00 per person. Steam Trains operate most Weekends. There is also an underground wombat observation tunnel.
The koala is such a well known and popular Australian animal that special arrangements were made for a colony of them to be located at Cohunu. Eucalyptus leaves form the staple diet for the Koala and to cater for this, eleven thousand trees were specially planted.
Cohuna's Koalas breed six to eight young per year - most are sold to parks around Australia - the park has an intensive research program on Koalas within this colony - many unknown Koala ailments have been discovered.

ANIMAL FEEDING Food is supplied on entry at 40 cents per bag for those who wish to feed Kangaroos and Emus.
