In the hills overlooking Perth, visitors can experience not only the delights of the forest, but a range of fun in the bush.
The main activities program - Go Bush - offers 35 different activities, ranging from camping, weaving, canoeing, night walks, spider spotting, bush-craft, paper making and much more.
Abseiling, horse riding, camel treks and four wheel drive safaris are available in the 'Go Bush Gets Adventurous' Program.
The 'Forest Under Canvas' Program offers bush camping experiences. These vary to meet the needs of groups, and can include bushcraft, navigation, Aboriginal Culture and camp oven cooking. At its base, near Mundaring, the Hills Forest Project also includes a Resource Centre, campsite, walk trails, and a Rammed Earth Amphitheatre which is used for evening performances such as Aboriginal Dreamtime stories, Jazz, Bush Bands and Star Gazing. Activities are usually limited to about 25 to provide quality experiences.
