The Kalamunda History Village is a museum depicting the unique hills life and industries in the early years. It is situated in the heart of Kalamunda, in the Darling Ranges of Perth, Western Australia.

Nestled amongst the trees, the Kalamunda History Village boasts of two original station buildings (now listed by the National Trust), seven heritage buildings dating from 1895 and three purpose built buildings. The human endeavour of timber cutting, orcharding, quarrying, transportation, services and life are presented in reality. These evocative displays are interactive will fascinate all ages.

Bring a group to visit the Kalamunda History Village and a free guided tour will be offered. Morning or afternoon teas can be arranged for group tours subject to numbers when booking in advance. Senior groups are invited to attend a Mystery Item Quiz session where tea and biscuits are offered with a quiz on old artefacts, finishing with a sing-a-long to old gramophone records.

The Kalamunda History Village is a wealth of education. For the schools, there are four education categories offered, a Pre-Primary Tour, an Education Tour, an Education Programme and a Lower Secondary Tour. There are also special needs programmes available. Every programme can be adapted to the teacher's needs. These education programmes are very popular and need to be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.

During the school holiday breaks in April 21st-23rd; July 14th-16th and October 6th-8th, there will be a holiday programme for the children. Numbers are restricted and bookings are essential. For further information and bookings please contact Helen on (08) 9293 1371.

The Kalamunda History Village is managed by the Kalamunda and Districts Historical Society. Their members are constantly working in the Village to maintain, collect and preserve to make your visit worthwhile.
