Free guided walking tours are available daily at 1000 and 1400, throughout the year. The Visitor Information Centre is located near Frasers Restaurant and is open daily all year between 0930 and 1600, except Christmas Day.

The Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority and the voluntary group known as the 'Kings Park Guides' invite you to visit Kings Park, one of Western Australia's most popular and unique tourist attractions.

Situated only a few minutes from the centre of Perth, the Park has much to offer with it's sweeping parklands, wildflowers, natural bush and Botanic Garden. There are extensive city and river views with a panorama to the Darling Scarp. On a clear day, from the top of the DNA Tower in Forrest Drive, the Indian Ocean can be seen to the west.

Free Guided Walks
All walks commence from the Visitor Information Centre on Fraser Avenue.

Botanic Garden Bushwalk (All year). One to one and a half hours duration.
Wander amongst the unique Western Australian flora; listen to the birds; hear a little of the life of Kings Park. Your guide will highlight botanical features and other items of general interest.

Kings Park - Past and Present (All year). One to one and a half hours duration. Take in the panoramic views of Perth and explore beyond the War Memorial. This walk intertwines the historical aspects of Kings Park with significant memorials and trees. Suitable for wheelchairs.

Wilderness and Wildflowers (May to October). One to one and a half hours duration. View 'the bush' as it enjoys its spring flourish. This walk takes you along the Nature Trail and into the natural Kings Park bushland where you will encounter milkmaids and postmen, pixies and fairies, donkeys and spiders. Suitable for wheelchairs.

Bush Walk (May to October). Two to two and a half hours duration. Monday and Fridays only.
