Leighton Beach is located four kilometres north of Fremantle or12 kilometres south west of Perth. Plenty of parking is available. Leighton Beach is appoximately an 800 metre walk from the North Fremantle train station.
Leighton Beach is popular with families and the northern area offers an animal exercise beach.
Public toilets, change rooms and Surf Life Saving Club are available at Leighton Beach.
Surf Life Saving Australia's Surf Tips.
- Always swim or surf at places patrolled by surf lifesavers or lifeguards.
- Swim between the red and yellow flags. They mark the safest area to swim.
- Always swim under supervision or with a friend.
- If you are unsure of surf conditions, ask a lifesaver or lifeguard.
