The Perth International Boat Show is the showcase for the marine industry in Western Australia and is host to around 200 exhibits ranging in size from around 700 square metres to standard three metre square booths.
In 2006 it will also incorporate a number of corporate and industry seminars and functions, the major function being the Boat Show Breakfast which will not only be attended by exhibitors and members, but also corporate and government guests, representatives from other state boating industry associations and major marine companies.
The Perth International Boat Show will be promoted on the international, national and state wide forums via a wide network of media and corporate campaigns and links.
In 2006, the bar will be lifted on the presentation and presence of this vital industry event. A new vibrancy will greet visitors, motivating them to stay and explore the vast array of boats and boating related displays and to enjoy a wide range of features and attractions.
The Perth International Boat Show attracts an attendance of around 30 000 people and surveys show that the average time that visitors stay at the event is three to four hours. To ensure their comfort and enjoyment, the 2006 show will feature a number of specialised eateries and refreshment areas as well as fashion parades, information sessions and demonstrations on all aspects of boating.
The show accommodates around 16 000 square metres of exhibition space and the PCEC offered exhibitors exceptional facilities for presentations and displays.
Future plans for the adjacent Barracks Jetty Precinct will provide for extensive on-water displays with the first of these anticipated in 2006.
