Rise opened in November 1999 and immediately transformed the Western Australian clubbing landscape with it's unprecedented popularity and subsequent longevity. Over four years later there has never been a Saturday night without queues. Winners of the 2002 AND 2003 Motorola Dance Music Awards “Best Club Night” for WA, Rise has established itself as a visionary leader within the entertainment industry.
Lead by resident DJ and 2002 AND 2003 DMA “Best DJ - WA” winner Simon Barwood, the club pumps it’s way through the weekend playing melodic, uplifting trance through to the more energetic and hard thumping trance sounds - with brilliant moments of house, tech-trance and breaks til dawn. With the help of regular rise guest DJs John Paul and Dr Bill, Simon Barwood forms the backbone of Perth's premier dance venue with his seamlessly mixed sets of up for it tunes.
Rise also presents a series of special events that highlight the clubbing calendar. Featuring special guests like Ultrasonic vs Public Domain, the Warp Brothers, Yakooza, Paul van Dyke, Ferry Corsten, 4 Strings, DJ Scot Project and plenty more Rise has become the mecca for Perth clubbers.
