Sandalford is well known for its quality wines but also as being a superior tourist attraction situated 25 minutes from Perth city, in the heart of the Swan Valley Sandalford has gained strong reputation in tourism, recognised with winning three major awards at the West Australian Tourism Awards in 2002.
Sandalford boasts unique facilities such as bi-lingual winery tour, a charming restaurant that showcases alfresco dining under vines, expansive indoor and outdoor function facilities, major concerts and events Perth's first luxury river cruiser the Miss Sandalford, wine appreciation classes, wine blending classes and gift emporium.
Guests can participate in a range of tours available at Sandalford. For the time constrained, the Sandalford Experience which operates three times daily and takes approximately one and a quarter hours to complete. This begins with a tour of the winery and follows with a wine appreciation where guests learn how to assess wine through colour, nose and palate. This operates at 1100, 1400, 1500 and costs $18.00 per person.
Alternatively, guests can participate in our full day option. Sandalford's Luxury Day Tour begins with a scenic Swan River cruise from Perth to the Swan Valley on the luxurious Miss Sandalford. On the cruise, guests enjoy coffee and petit fours then learn the finer points of wine appreciation while sampling gourmet cheeses. A tour of the operational winery follows the cruise as well as a sumptuous three course, choice menu lunch perfectly matched with premium wines. A visit to the Cellar Emporium concludes the day with an opportunity to try fortified wine straight from the oak barrel. Guests return to the City or to their hotel via luxury coach. Operating Wednesday and Sunday the cost is $129 per person and is inclusive of hotel pick up and return for Perth Hotels, Fremantle and Scarborough.
