The River Retreat has a quiet rural outlook over the mature redgums on the Swan River to the Darling Range.

    How to get to The River Retreat
    The River Retreat is on the Swan Valley Tourist drive and couldn’t be more ideally located… The property stretches from West Swan Rd to the upper reaches of the Swan River, where you can find mature bushland and nature walk trails. Within a short walk of the cottages, there are four restaurants, a micro brewery and a golf course.

    You can drive to the valley in just over 30 minutes from Perth CBD and less than that from Perth’s domestic or international airports. Connections via bus and train are through Midland station and transfers can be arranged.

    There are many other activities within a short distance of The River Retreat.


    • Licenced Swan Valley Oasis Restaurant. Open for breakfast, lunch and Dinner 7 days.

    • Mash Brewery Restaurant. Open for lunch and Dinner.

    • Super Golf. Great family golf game played on 9 or 18 holes. Clubs have oversized heads and balls are larger, brighter and lighter than normal golf.

    • Laser Corps, outdoor combat laser game; great for families or team building.
