Tropical Wanderer Resort is on the Bruce Highway in North Rockhampton, adjacent to Emmaus College and the new Homemakers centre. It is approximately 15 minutes from the domestic Rockhampton Airport, the Railway Station and the Bus Terminals. The Rocky Taxi service is also readily available. We are the perfect location for that get away shopping experience. The Rockhampton Stockland shopping centre is less than 1km south and the new and exciting Homemakers centre is directly adjacent. All within walking distance. The CQ university is only a 5 minute drive North and all schools and sporting venues are within 15 minutes by car or taxi.

We are the perfect location for that get away shopping experience. The Rockhampton Stockland shopping centre is less than 1km south and the new and exciting Homemakers centre is directly adjacent. Full day or half day tours can be organised to the Capricorn Coast and over to Great Keppel Island. You may prefer to explore the Capricorn Caves, abseil or climb high ropes or maybe take a stroll through yesteryear at the Rockhampton Heritage Village, Military Museum or the Steam Train Museum. Alternatively you could learn how to play the digeridoo at the Dreamtime Cultural Centre. The options are endless, come in and see our large brochure display rack of the region.

Tropical Wanderer Resort has a small Conference centre with the Capricorn Room holding up to 50 people theatre style and the Reef Room for 2-10 people ideal for those intimate meetings or seminars. Both rooms have data line access and modem broadband internet. TV/Video, Phone conferencing, OHP and screen and whiteboard are available for hire. Morning and afternoon tea and lunches are all catered for on site. The licensed a la carte restaurant seats 40 people and the outdoor Bistro also seats 40. All guest rooms have internet ready phones. Photocopying and Faxing are available from the friendly reception team. (Fees apply)
