Comfortable and spacious self-contained accommodation in a 2 bedroom villa or 3 bedroom villa, perfect for families and friends who want to experience Kuranda and the surrounding district at an affordable rate.

Kuranda Villas is centrally located, one street back from the main street, within walking distance of all the attractions within the village.

The village of Kuranda is located in the rainforest 330 metres above sea level in the Cairns Highlands.

The climate is cooler and less humid and just 30 km from Cairns up the scenic Kuranda Range Road with views overlooking the Great Barrier Reef.

Villa 1 has two bedrooms and will sleep up to 6 people. Villa 2 has three bedrooms and will sleep up to 7 people. Each villa is comfortable, fully furnished and self-contained.

Electric blankets are supplied in the cooler months of the year and a heater is located in the lounge/dining room or each villa.

Ceiling fans are located throughout the villas.

There is a full kitchen with all the necessary crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and pots and pans. We also supply extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper, locally grown tea and ground coffee, and sugar.

Complimentary Port is provided and guests who book two nights or more receive a bottle of Australian sparkling wine on arrival.

There is a TV and DVD player, which will also play CDs.

There is a patio with BBQ and outdoor table and chairs in a private garden.

There are security screens on the windows and doors.

Villa 1 - sleeping configuration consists of a queen size bed in the master bedroom with built-in wardrobe, two king single beds in the second bedroom with built-in wardrobe, and a double sofa bed in the lounge area.

Villa 2 - sleeping configuration consists of a queen size bed in the master bedroom with built-in wardrobe, two king single beds in the second bedroom, one king single bed with built-in wardrobe in the third bedroom, and a double sofa bed in the lounge area.

All linen, bedding and towels is supplied and there is a washing machine and dryer provided in each villa.

For families with very young children there is a portacot and highchair available, upon request.

How to get to Kuranda Villas

Drive yourself to Kuranda via Cairns or the Atherton Tablelands.

Alternatively, Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the Kuranda Scenic Railway is about a 5 minute walk from Kuranda Villas.

Travel on the Kuranda Scenic Railway in the afternoon to Freshwater and then return to your accommodation in Kuranda on the world famous Skyrail Rainforest Cableway.

Meet the largest collection of free flying birds in Australia at Birdworld Kuranda.

Cuddle a koala, feed kangaroos and wallabies, see snakes and crocodiles at the Kuranda Koala Gardens.

Marvel at the amazing tropical butterflies in the walk-through rainforest enclosure at the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary.

Take a Kuranda Riverboat Cruise on the Barron River, located below the Kuranda Scenic Railway.

Visit the Original Kuranda Markets and Heritage Markets.

Half an hour's drive west from Kuranda is Mareeba where the rainforest meets the outback.
