How to get to The Reef Retreat
Drive 22 km north of Cairns on the Cook Hwy. Set your odometre so that you will know when you are almost there. Follow the signs on the Cook Hwy which say, Port Douglas, Mossman. Palm Cove is 20 minutes NORTH of Cairns and 35 minutes SOUTH of Port Douglas. After driving 20 minutes from Cairns, you will see a sign for the Tropical Zoo on the left. When you see that sign, you will know that the turn off to Palm Cove is one minute further along on the RIGHT. Turn RIGHT into Veivers Rd., go to the Esplanade, turn LEFT, go one block and turn LEFT again into Harpa St. The Reef Retreat is the first building on the RIGHT, 10 – 14 Harpa St.

Out and About
Palm Cove is 20 minutes north of cairns and 35 minutes south of Port Douglas and The Reef Retreat is in the centre of this cosmopolitan seaside village. The Reef Retreat is just a short stroll to cafes, shops, restaurants, and bars, many of which are located on the esplanade overlooking idyllic Palm Cove Beach and the beautiful Coral Sea. The Palm Jetty has departures to the Great Barrier Reef and the Palm Cove Golf Course is only one kilometre from The Reef Retreat. There are currently 6 health spas only minutes from The Reef Retreat. For night entertainment, several of the 5 star hotels offer live music on selected nights, and you can dine al fresco and take in the sounds of Salsa music at the restaurants in the Paradise Village Shopping Plaza in the centre of Palm Cove.

Instructions for after hours key collection
After hours, keys will be left on the late arrivals board outside reception. Guests should come to reception the following day to register after 8:00. For emergencies, there is a telephone next to the late arrivals board which will connect you with the caretaker.
