Families will love the squeaky-clean beach sand and rolling waves of Meelup Beach, near Dunsborough.
Grassy barbecue areas under leafy gum trees are perfect for picnickers.
Meelup is surrounded by beautiful natural bush land – take one of the coastal walk trails that wind through Meelup Park.
It’s easy going and suitable for families.
In spring wildflowers colour the scrub, while the ocean is never more than a few metres away.
Afterwards, cool off with a dip in the ocean. This calm bay is ideal for swimming.
So protected, Meelup regularly sees yachts and sailing boats dropping anchor offshore for an afternoon of lazing in the sunshine.
