The West Coast Pioneers Memorial Museum at Zeehan celebrates the west coasts rich pioneering past.
You can learn about the history of the regions mining industry, which began to boom around 1882 when silver-lead deposits were found. Zeehans population peaked at 10,000 more than 10 times the current population and lasted until the closure of the last mine in 1914.
See the museums fascinating displays of pioneering memorabilia, including some of the best mineral samples in the world. There are working and static displays, including mining equipment, machinery and steam locomotives.
