The Musto Etchells Australian Winter Championship will be conducted off Mooloolaba from 5 to 8 June. The annual Championship attracts the best Australian and New Zealand one-design class sailors to compete in seven race series. Previous winners of the series include America's Cup, Olympic class, Sydney-Hobart race winners and class World Champions.

The sailors enjoy travelling to Queensland to compete in the warm June winds blowing off Mooloolaba. The sailors usually encounter not only high-quality competition but also challenging sailing conditions. The Mooloolaba Marina venue is well set up to host the Etchells fleet with good facilities, great hospitality and immediate access to the competition waters.

Mooloolaba accommodation for the sailors and their families ranges from camping to four-star self-contained units and is located only a few minutes walk from the marina.
