The Retreat at Wisemans is a 54-room resort and conference centre located on the banks of the Hawkesbury River in Wisemans Ferry.The Retreat is the ideal location for a short break destination, being just over a one-hour drive from the CBD and easily accessible from the Central Coast and Blue Mountains.Our guest rooms provide a high standard of accommodation and have scenic views of either the Hawkesbury River, the escarpments of the Dharug National Park or our golf course and gardens. With extensive leisure facilities including our own par 34, competition standard 9 hole golf course, all weather floodlit tennis courts, beach volleyball, croquet, badminton, 25m salt water swimming pool, wading pool and games room there is plenty to do in and around the Retreat. All leisure facilities at the Retreat can be enjoyed free of charge throughout your stay.(Green Fees apply) Local tour operators provide our guests with the opportunity to experience much of what the region has to offer. There is an abundance of early settlement and convict history to explore, whether its on a 4WD tour to Wollombi through the spectacular scenery of the National Parks or a guided bush walking tour of the convict built Great North Road with local historian Heather Winch. With a host of river activities available there is also plenty to do on the water. Enjoy a day on the river with a leisurely kayak tour. Speed things up a little with water skiing or wake boarding. Or take control of your own destiny and explore the Hawkesbury River in a self drive cabin cruiser. If that all seems like to much hard work, you could spend the day at the Retreat and revitalise the weary body and be pampered with a massage or a beauty treatment in our beauty salon. The Riverbend restaurant, surrounded by stunning gardens and overlooking the golf course is licensed to seat 130 people and provides a standard of service and cuisine equivalent to many Sydney restaurants. The Retreat at Wisemans is the perfect getaway in breathtaking country surrounds, just over an hour from the CBD.
How to get to Retreat at Wisemans
From the airportFollow the signs to City (via Southern Cross Drive). This leads to the Eastern Distributor toll road. Approaching the city stay in the right lane and follow signs to Northern Suburbs. After exiting the Harbour Tunnel follow signs for Epping and then directions from the city as below.From the CityCross the Harbour Bridge and follow the signs for Epping (do not take the Pacific Highway exit) along the Gore Hill Freeway. Continue on Epping Road and then on to the M2 Motorway. Take the 2nd exit after the toll, sign posted to Castle Hill and turn right on to Pennant Hills Road. At Thompsons Corner turn left on to Castle Hill Road and turn right at the 2nd set of traffic lights on to New Line Road. Then follow the signs for Wisemans Ferry.Check In time : 1400 Check Out time : 1000

The Retreat was chosen as the ideal location for a conference centre, being just over an hours drive from the CBD and with ample grounds for expansion and outdoor team building activities.The conference centre has 5 suites with private terraces for morning and afternoon tea. All standard audiovisual equipment is included in quotes and includes flip charts, whiteboards, TV, video, OHP and screens. The 2 main conference suites have the additional advantage of having a private office for the facilitators and delegates use. These offices are equipped with computer, fax, printer and dedicated phone/data lines. To ensure every event held at the Retreat runs smoothly there is at least one fully trained member of staff based in the conference centre office throughout the duration of the event.The guest bedrooms have been designed or upgraded to provide delegates maximum comfort in a user friendly work environment. A study desk, direct in-dial telephones with data ports to allow easy access to E-mail or the web (every room has its own phone number), ample natural light and full blackout facilities, Foxtel, Ironing facilities, hair dryers, air conditioning, mini bars and importantly, great views.
