How to get to Swami Sarasvati Yoga & Health Retreat

Come by your own transport or we can arrange courtesy pick up from Pennant Hills Railway station. For guests travelling from interstate or overseas there is a very convenient local shuttle bus company, which will pick you up from the airport and take you to our front door. It is very convenient.

Activities during your stay will include some of the following:
Yoga
Yoga means ‘union’ or in more modern terms ‘integration’. Practising yoga regularly can bring a sense of calmness, poise, and detachment that eliminates the negative effects of stress and clear the way tensions that stifle the full expression of your individuality.
The yoga postures or asanas, exercise every part of the body,stretching and toning on the muscles and joints, the spine and the entire skeletal system. And it work not only on the body’s frame but on the internal organs, glands and nerves as well, keeping all systems in radiant health. Yoga postures also help enhance the body’s natural cleansing process and provide both physiological and psychological benefits.
Meditation
Rather like yoga postures, meditation focuses on helping the body and mind to remain flexible. It helps the mind remained young and alert. With a heightened awareness, you gain greater insight into your actions and behavioural patterns. Through this process you have the ability to cultivate the qualities necessary to change for the better. “When the meditation is mastered, the mind is unwavering like the flame of a lamp in a windless place. In that are still mind, in the depths of meditation, the Self reveals itself.” The Bhagavad Gita

Relaxation
Learn how to have ’Success without Stress’. The officer of relaxation is tension or stressed. We must transform ’dis-ease’ provoking patterns whilst bringing in mind and body into balance and cultivating a positive attitude towards life’s challenges.
Breathing
The yogic breathing exercises known as pranayama revitalise the body and help to control the mind, leaving you feeling calm and refreshed. It is a common misconception to think that our energy comes from our food, but is the air that we breathe that is the primary fuel for survival. Without oxygen, life would cease to exist after only minutes. The way we breathe affects how we feel.
Tai Chi
Learning grace, poise and peace of mind with these simple gentle balanced movements. Often described as ‘meditation in motion’. Tai Chi is simple to learn and non-exertive requires patience and practise to master.
Massage
Everyone can learn to promote when dealing with their hands. Discover your own feeling parking. Relieved tension, reduce aches and pains and feel great! Reflexology
Helps balance any gland organ which is either over or under active. It also provides greater relaxation and release of tension. better blood circulation as tension in the lower and generally normalisation of the entire body.
