Apartments Down Town,
Burnie
52 Alexander Street
Burnie
One of the most exciting periods of design was the 1930’s, when these art deco apartments were built in Burnie. They’ve been modernised with spas, but they’ve kept their clawfoot baths. Updated for easy living, but their original decor and furnishings are still there to delight you. The coast in the Burnie district is a glorious expanse of ocean and sky, with a multitude of capes, bluffs and headlands linked by stretches of sparkling white beach. Behind the coast there are forests, farms, lakes, rivers, and rolling hills planted with all kinds of crops. There are dozens of small villages, easily reached on the network of country roads. You’ll also want to explore further along the coast to see historic Stanley, the splendours of Rocky Cape National Park, the Birdland Gardens at Sisters Beach and much more. You’ll be able to buy fresh produce to prepare a simple dinner when you return to the world of art deco in your apartment, or you may prefer a short rest followed by a visit to one of Burnie’s restaurants. A family rate of $200.00 applies.
