A scenic drive by car 2 hours from Burnie. 1.5 hours from Cradle Mountain, 3 hours from Launceston and 4 hours from Hobart. Road coach services operate from launceston and Hobart. Rail services operate between Strahan and Queenstown.


Out and About
Take a tour of the Mt Lyell Copper Mine founded in 1896, or ride the restored rack and pinion West Coast Wilderness Railway through pristine wilderness. Experience the legendary Gordon River with a day cruise from Strahan. A visit to the Galley Museum will reveal the history of this fascinating region. Further afield visit wee Georgie Wood steam railway in Tullah or Lake St Clair National Park.
