How to get to Crawfords B&B
We are a short drive (less than 10 minutes, or 5 kilometers) south of the city centre.

If entering Hobart from Northern Tasmania, come along the Brooker Highway (the main highway entrance to Hobart from the North) to where it joins Davey Street.

If coming from the East Coast or the airport, just “follow your nose” after you cross the Tasman Bridge, and go straight ahead along Davey Street.

Follow Davey Street (a one-way street), which skirts the city, along the docks (on your left) and the Grand Chancellor Hotel and Federation Hall (on your right). A kilometer or so after the docks, as you pass St David’s Park (a large fenced park on your left), you will see a sign pointing left to Sandy Bay and Wrest Point Casino. Take that road, and at the sixth set of traffic lights (counting the lights at which you make the turn into Sandy Bay Road) you will see Wrest Point tower on the waterfront.

Turn right at those lights, go to the top of the hill, turn right again and after about 20 metres take the first left into Nelson Road, which is a series of hairpin bends winding up Mt Nelson. We are between bends 4 and 5.

Bend 4 is recognisable by a red Australia Post box. About 100 metres past Bend 4, near Bus Stop 18 at a sign indicating Crawfords, turn right off Nelson Rd into a service-access slip-road. We are No 178, the second house, a creamy-yellow weatherboard cottage.
There is a guests car park at the end of the house. Access is easiest if you reverse in to the carpark.
There is stop almost at the front door for a regular city bus service.

Out and About
Nestled on the slopes of tree-covered Mount Nelson, the self-contained suite is located in a quiet suburb only a few minutes to the centre of Hobart, Battery Point, Salamanca Place, the Wrest Point Hotel Casino, beaches, cafes and restaurants and gourmet shops where you can buy delicious local produce and superb takeaway food. The comfortable fully equipped suite is a peaceful base for exploring historic Hobart and the beautiful Derwent and Huon Valleys.
