Derwent Retreat is self contained and fully furnished. The property sleeps six people and all rooms have majestic views of the river and Mt Wellington. It has a master bedroom with queen sized bed and ensuite with shower and toilet. A second bedroom with a double bed and bedroom with two single beds are served by a second bathroom and separate toilet.
The property has a modern fully equipped kitchen with microwave, hotplates, stove and fridge. The laundry has a washing machine and dryer. On the balcony there is a gas barbecue and second dining table and chairs. All linen and crockery are provided and there is a TV, stereo etc. central heating or wood stove for warmth, a local call only telephone, wireless internet for business and large garden with many natural rock features and small basketball court for relaxation.

Derwent Retreat as ample space for three sedan sized vehicles. Larger or extra vehicles can park in the nearby car park fifty meters away.
How to get to Derwent Retreat
Please note that it is important you phone us before you arrive to make check-in arrangements as we will usually arrange to meet guests and show them around.

To get to Derwent Retreat find your way onto the Main Road in the Claremont/Austins Ferry area and follow it north or south as the case may be to Austins Ferry. Austins Ferry Road is opposite the stone gates to historic Roseneath Park. Turn down Austins Ferry Road towards the water and follow the road to the end of the parks on both sides of the road. Turn left at the end of the road and drive through the car park to the yacht club and launching area and you will see Derwent Retreat on the point in front of you.
The owners live nearby and if you need to find them, instead of continuing down Austins Ferry Road to the water turn first right after the parks down Harbinger Lane. 12 Harbinger Lane is at the end of Harbinger Lane.
