Duck House - The,
Burnie
26 and 28 Queen Street
Burnie
Winifred and William Duck must have loved living in this delightful old weatherboard cottage with its elaborate decorative woodwork adorning the verandah. The cottage is named after these prominent members of the Salvation Army, who lived there for many years. The house is decorated and furnished in heritage style, with antique furniture throughout. This cosy cottage has all the modern amenities that we prefer today and warm comfortable beds. Provisions for a full English breakfast including eggs and bacon (and croissants too) ensure that you will have the energy to tour the scenic surrounding countryside and coastline or to walk along the Burnie Urban Walking Tracks which start nearby. The cottage is only one minutes walk away from West Beach, Burnie Park, the Art Gallery and Pioneer Village Museum. One cottage is situated at 1 Princes Street, Burnie. Concessions apply for children and longer stays.
