How to get to Ellies Cottage Collection

Stanley is 45 minutes from the Burnie airport, 1.5 hours drive from the Spirit of Tasmania terminal, and under 3 hours from Launceston airport. To hire a car is highly recommended.

Stanley is an historic seaside village, and was settled in 1826, retaining all the quaintness and authenticity of its past. Stanley is predominately a fishing village, and is set out on a 7km peninsula into the ocean, therefore surrounded by pristine ocean and sandy beaches. Stanley features lovely cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries, showcasing local seafood and fresh produce. Wildlife is in abundance in and around Stanley, with Platypus and Penguin viewing in the wild, seal cruises, 4 wheel drive eco day tours of the Tarkine rainforests, river cruises and spectacular falls. Stanley is a particularly lovely place to enjoy an extended stay, with so much to see and do in and around the area.

We own Ye Olde Chocolate Shoppe and The Swingin Anchor Cafe. The chocolate shop is also our reception for our accommodation guests, and is open from 9am to 5pm. For after hours key collection please phone our office (03) 64582038 and arrangements can be made.
