You have private access to Lake Meadowbank for swimming, boating or fishing, or try the trout lakes and rivers of the Central Highlands nearby. Theres a local golf course too. The quiet country town of Ouse is convenient to Mt. Field National Park, Lake St. Clair and Lake Pedder. It is a good stop over on the way to the west coast.
