White Beach
Storm Bay Guest House sits on Hardy’s Hill, on 2.4 hectares (six acres), overlooking beautiful White Beach on the Tasman Peninsula about 90 minutes’ drive south of Hobart. It offers breathtaking views across Storm Bay in one of the last unspoiled spots in the world. The main Guest House, which has three ensuite rooms, offers a cooked breakfast with home baked bread and jams. Within the property sits the self-contained luxury two bedroom Cragganmore Cottage. A three-course dinner, featuring local produce and Tasmanian specialities, is served each night either on the outside deck or in the dining room and is available to all guests. Pristine beaches are just a few minutes walk away and the property borders 20,000 hectares (50,0000 acres) of national forest. You are only 10 minutes’ drive from the Port Arthur Historic Site, one of the Island’s most important attractions. The view across Storm Bay has been described as the most beautiful in Tasmania, stretching across Wedge Bay and the Brother and Sister islands to Storm Bay and then beyond to The Hartz Mountains National Park and the south western wilderness area nearly 100 kilometres away. To the north is tranquil Parson’s Bay where sail and crayfish boats lie at anchor. Local activities range from boating and fishing to some of the best wilderness and bush walking on the Peninsula. Nearby at Eaglehawk Neck is excellent for some of the best temperate water diving in the world, or you can surf at Roaring Beach. Sea kayaking and horse riding are also available and don’t forget golfing at the Tasman Golf Club and bird watching. We offer special and competitive rates and look forward to greeting you as our guests.
