You’ll be immersed in the delightful historic atmosphere of the quaint old town of Stanley surrounding these charming cottages. Relax and enjoy the sea views from your comfortable accommodation or sit by the cosy wood fire in winter and enjoy the afternoon tea provided when you arrive. The lovely bluestone Touchwood Cottage was built in 1840 and is said to be the oldest private residence in Stanley. Originally built as a farmhouse, it includes a homely colonial style kitchen with wood heating and a cosy lounge-sitting room furnished with period antiques. (Capacity six people) The Studio is a charming cottage, originally housing the farm dairy. It boasts a cosy wood fire, electric heating, a queen sized bed and spectacular views of the bay from each cottage window. (Capacity two people) The Pines is a cosy unit tucked away at the bottom of the garden. Warmed by a wood heater, it features a queen sized bed upstairs, single beds downstairs and magnificent views from the lounge/dining area. (Capacity four people) The cottages stand at the foot of the Nut. Why not climb it or take the cable car to the splendid views from the top. Alternatively you could simply peruse the fine Tasmanian made crafts available at Touchwood Craft Gallery followed by a cappuccino at the cafe. Be sure to try the superb crayfish, freshly unloaded from the fishing boats.
