Natural rock outcrop used as a lookout by Dan 'Mad Dog' Morgan, a bushranger who terrorised the district in the 19th Century (during the 1860's).
Morgan used this towering granite outcrop as a lookout for police parties, hiding with his horse in its deep crevices when searchers came uncomfortably close.
Modern day visitors can climb a safe staircase to The Summit to take in a spectacular view of the Billabong Valley and the four hectares of recreation area offers hours of exploring, fascinating scenery and education.
Picnic, gas barbecue and toilet facilities are on location.
Great point to watch local birdlife.
